I contacted their development to form a mechanism to host product variants on the same product URL where product url can be changed if the different color is selected. 

Please notice, you have to use Canonical URL structure to manage identical duplicate issue in the scenario.

Break this myth that sitemap will index all the pages it contains but it helps google and other search engines to easily navigate all your important pages by getting your data in their preferred formats. 

5. Page Speed

Either its ecommerce or other business website page speed can make or break a website in Google. After 2015 Google is strictly account page speed for a web page ranking. Specially when it comes to mobile. 

In 2019 if your website does not render in 3 secs then most likely your user will exit your website (According to google you lose upto 70% of traffic due to page load time issue). 

You should monitor every type of page’s speed like test page speed for your home page and product page separately, half of the webmaster are happy to see their home page is loading faster but they overlook the basic thing that they only get a sale if their product page loads faster. So make sure you fix this issue everywhere. 

6. Mobile View Optimization 

Mobile page speed and mobile view is entirely different things. Make sure all your pages loaded properly on mobile view. 

Specially look for the following elements. 
  • Product image
  • Your menu should not take more than 15% of the screen when loaded first time.
  • All the fonts are easily readable. 
  • All actionable/modifiable  functions such as change color, zoom, size chart etc works on single tap.
  • Add to cart button should appear on 2 and half scrolls max.

In the year 2013 we noticed rise of search marketing trend in Pakistan. Google announced ever big algorithm updates in 2013 such as Penguin and Hummingbird. And Now we are entered 2014 with lot of new updates and changes in SEO Trends based on the different developments within the industry. We witnessed many Online Business failures due to Google’s new algorithm updates and Bad or we call it Black Hat SEO Techniques. I heard many guys shouting “we were not involved in black hat SEO techniques” May be they are right. I personally analysed few websites that gone down in 2013 just to check what their SEO guys doing with the website. I figured that several guys we just following old spammy ways to get ranking in Google and many were not involved in any black hat SEO Techniques but they were aggressively using few tactics such as forum posting and Blog comments. That’s why they got hit by Penguin update.

SEO at Daraz: A challenging Job and a Success Story

It has been 6 months since I Joined Daraz.pk (Pakistan's Leading Online Fashion Store). When I Join Daraz and start my initial analysis for link-builidng strategies, I found there are many guys are there in the Search Market with keeping top position on almost all of our Primary keywords, Well people thinks that Pakistan is low competitive market and its very easy to rank a shopping website for a primary or secondary keywords They are actually RIGHT!

Yes Its become very easy when you start your link-building (Off-Page) strategy with black black-hat SEO Techniques or Illegal SEO Practices. I took a whole month to gather and prepare Search Data, analysis reports. I had figure it out in a week that guys are using black-hat seo techniques to take over each others rankings, But my theory was not enough to brief others and to design a strong strategy to play with those black hated guys :D.

Well I was wondered after completing my analysis as they were saying you need to play with a team that is armed with Spamming Rifles lol

Well I decide to play a fair game with my convential strategies which obviosuly do not include any Black Hat Techniques. In the first phase I put Primary keywords on the target and did nothing except applying ethical search engine optimization techniques and succesfully ranked my targeted keywords on Top positions (no.1 position). And Witnessed many domains getting penalized or getting manual penalties by Google. After that I could not find them in top 50 organic Positions, As you already google has very strict policies against Spammers.

By getting Top postitions on Primary keywords I noticed a drastic change in Organic Traffic and Number of orders and Total Revenue of Daraz.pk

In the second phase I put Categories on my target to increase organic traffic and sales. And Still working with Category page and have increased almost 125% revenue sucessfuly in my six months tenure and looking forward to new goals and challenges.
